Petty Harbour Blues

$3.50$949.00

The ‘Catherine and Ned’ of Petty Harbour is rumoured to be one of the last trap skiffs of NL. This boat was built for the changing fishing technology in the early 1900s when cod traps became the preferred method of catching codfish.
After around 1910 these boats were fitted with engines and were used for fishing cod traps near-shore and baited trawls (long-lines) further offshore.
